What makes Third and Army rad
This place is basically a skatepark. In a city that has knobbed or destroyed most of the spots that made it famous (Black Rock, Brown Marble, EMB, Pier 7), it is refreshing to find a spot where skaters are more or less allowed to run free. Apparently the architect who designed Third and Army was open to people using the spot in ways other than originally intended. Which is really cool, but if you are building a place with a bunch of benches in the middle of SF's industrial areas, you should pretty much expect that it's going to be put to (mis)use.
